What is Team Visa?
Team Visa is a sponsorship programme that supports Visa’s position as a worldwide partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games - at a national level across a number of CEMEA markets.
The focus of Team Visa is the support of young Olympic and Paralympic 'Hopefuls' through a Mentoring programme, enlisting former Olympic and Paralympic Champions ('Mentors') to pass on their wisdom.
What is a Team Visa Mentor?
The Team Visa Mentors are either retired athletes or athletes who have previously achieved medal success. They are recognised internationally as Olympic or Paralympic greats.
Their role is to support and guide the Hopefuls towards their goals, by offering a unique insight into the Olympic and Paralympic Games environment and what it takes to be a champion.
What is a Team Visa Hopeful?
Known as the Team Visa Hopefuls, they have already achieved significant results in international competitions but are yet to win a medal on the greatest sporting stage of them all.
The Hopefuls, who will learn from the Team Visa Mentors while also sharing their own experiences with other young Hopefuls, aspire to qualify for and compete at the Beijing 2008 Olympic or Paralympic Games.
